Last week was the annual Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) annual convention in Philadelphia where medical innovations were abundant and showed remarkable promise. More than 17,000 delegates representing government, academia, and non-profit research institutes joined more than 4,000 companies in the City of Brotherly Love. The delegates share a common commitment to improve the quality and longevity of life through development of innovative new technologies, many of which are being commercialized at a pace not seen before. From vaccines to cell therapies and gene therapies, new products are promising substantial improvements to human health.

In January, there's no better place to be than Miami, FL. While we were excited to escape the cold winter, it was all business for InVitria during Phacilitate 2019 and the Regenerative Medicine Foundation’s World Stem Cell Summit. This year, there was an excitement in the air due to the significant increase in the number of cell therapies in the clinical pipeline. With some cell therapies already being approved, many product innovators at the conference were beginning to focus toward commercial scale-up, bringing new learnings and innovations to the industry. Overall, this event was a big success for our cell culture media team since it was packed with great content, speakers and many partnering meetings.
January 22nd - 25th InVitria will be in Miami for the Phacilitate Leaders World and World Stem Cell Summit. These meetings bring together leaders and researchers from every major stakeholder group in the advanced therapies ecosystem. This year we're excited to talk to and hear presentations from the 2,000 attendees, 150 exhibitors and 300 speakers in attendance.
As we begin celebrating the holiday season with our friends and family, we were reflecting on the phenomenal support that we have received from our customers and distributors this past year. We would like to say a huge "Thank You!" to each and every one of our customers and distributors for their business in 2018 and helping us bring blood-free products to researchers worldwide!
